Jennifer + Anthony Part III-The slideshow

Jennifer and Anthony's wedding was so much fun and unique in many ways. We had a wonderful time sharing in their day. Click on their names in the title of this post to see their slideshow!

Jennifer's gorgeous Anne Barge gown.

The even more gorgeous bride.

They had the most vibrant colors, orange and Caribbean blue.

Custom programs with a cute note about the wedding party and blue and orange ribbons to wave as the couple was announced as husband and wife. The ceremony was at Plymouth Township Park.

An awesome steel drum band fit the mood of the day perfectly.

The reception was in Wixom at Lyon Oaks Golf and Banquet Center.

We made use of the gorgeous grounds. This is my favorite shot.

We also had a wonderful experience working with Cathy from Emerald City Designs, their wedding coordinator, who was incredibly organized, helpful and kind. We are also hoping to get to see their wedding video by Lee Thomas Contemporary Films. Lee was so unobtrusive and easy to work with, I just hope I stayed out of his camera angles! It was obvious he got some incredible footage.

Congratulations Jennifer and Anthony! Thank you for allowing us to share in your special day!

Sprinkler

My son got his first run through the sprinkler this past week...with none other than Elmo (aka "la la") as the sprinkler and my husband, the big kid at heart, as his partner in crime.

Of course the first step was plenty of sunscreen (which he tasted).

He had to help position "la la" just right.

Then survey the situation.

He wasn't too sure about the whole thing at first. Here's his expression after the first encounter with the sprinkler.

..but of course, when dad picked him up and carried him through, everything was much better.

Can you tell who his favorite person in the world is?

Then, there's his feelings towards his mom, especially when I try to take his picture. I think the face says it all.

Then, just like the pancake incident, I didn't learn my lesson and went in for another close-up on a kid with wet hands...(note the finger).

Then he was done...and wanted "down" (which means up to him) all soggy wet. How could I turn down this face?

or this cute little belly?

It's our anniversary!

John and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary today by buying diaper bag refills and grabbing a burger and fries (don't tell my Weight Watchers leader). As our luck would have it, John had to work today but we did have a couple hours yesterday to hang out with each other, so I am not going to complain. These past 4 years have been the best of my life, spending them with the most wonderful man in the world! I am so lucky and so loved!

Jennifer + Anthony Part II

I am still wrapping up the wedding before Jen and Tony's wedding, so this will be the last sneak peek from their wedding until I actually get to their images...and their slideshow.

The stunning bride.

The bride and groom.

The image below is one of my favorites of the day.

I loved their goldfish centerpieces...and you could take them home if you wanted to adopt one! (Don't worry, all un-adopted gold fish were returned to the pet store safe and sound so someone else could give them a home.)

Let the dancing begin!

Hannah and Bryce Part II

Now that Hannah and Bryce are back from their "surprise destination" honeymoon...I can share a few more of their pictures in a brand new format for me...a slideshow! It requires a highspeed connection and Adobe Flash (which can be downloaded free from Adobe's site if you want to see the show but don't have it).

You can click on the title of this post to view it....enjoy!

Since this is my first slideshow post and link, I would appreciate it you would leave me a comment or send me an email via my website if it doesn't work.

Jennifer + Anthony

We shared in a wonderful wedding celebration with Jennifer and Anthony on Saturday! Here's a sneak peak of what is to come...stay tuned!

The couple had an awesome steel drum band play at their ceremony and cocktail hour. With their Caribbean blue and orange color scheme, the music was not only incredible but so fitting! Plus the rings look so cool on this drum stick, don't you agree?

You're the next American Idol!

Still working on wedding pictures from last weekend. Stay tuned for more pictures soon! Until then, enjoy this picture of my son preparing for his career as the next American Idol. I think the outfit alone would generate some votes. What do you think...would you vote for him? Leave him a comment below and I promise I will tell him you sent him some love.

Hannah and Bryce

What a beautiful day, gorgeous couple and wonderful gathering of family and friends! Today we celebrated with Hannah and Bryce at the MSU Chapel and Timber Ridge in East Lansing for a morning wedding and afternoon reception.

We have a ton of images to go through, but I had to share a few of my favorites, more to come.

Hannah and Bryce shared their first kiss on their wedding day...once they were pronounced husband and wife....the day was filled with kisses. It was so sweet!

The glowing bride.Hannah's brother was the soloist and sang the perfect song.

Some yummy sun flare!

Bryce has a surprise honeymoon planned for Hannah. I can't wait to hear where they went...have fun you guys!

Let the love begin!

Tomorrow starts my wedding season, photographically speaking, and we are looking forward to sharing the day and celebrating with Hannah and Bryce and their families tomorrow.

I stopped by the MSU alumni chapel to check out the lighting while they were having their rehearsal. I have only attended a wedding there as a guest and remembered the natural light being in low supply so I wanted to do some test shots.

I can't wait to share some of their photos later this week. These a the lowest resolution images my camera can take and they were tweaked on my uncalibrated computer....the official photography editing computer is occupied at the moment, so these are not the best quality and the color may be off.

Here's the cute MSU Alumni Chapel.

Bryce and Hannah at the altar.

Look how happy they are...and they aren't even married yet!

Sizing up my competition....just kidding!

Just what you might expect, the girls are transfixed on the events, the guy..well, I am sure he is thinking about the rehearsal!

Proofbooks

I know proofbooks are nothing new to a lot of photographers, but I hadn't used them in the past and decided to try them out with my new lab. I was really pleased with the results. For the time being, I am going to offer them at an alternate option for my engagement sessions. I normally make 4x6 prints of the best images and present them in a photo box. If you are a client with a future engagement session, please let me know your preference...proof prints or a proofbook.

This is the frosted cover (clear cover is an option as well).

You can see the texture of the frosted cover a little better here.

This is the standard cover image under the frosted cover with a black background. White, and gray backgrounds are options as well.

A few of the pages. Photographic paper with 9 images per page. Image numbers as they are filed on the CD you receive are listed under the images.

Grumble, grumble, groooooowwwwwllll!

Since not a lot of love in the form of comments is being left for either my son or me....I am going to write a post just for me. Maybe it will make my stomach stop growling! If you read it and can feel my pain...please chime in with a comment to let me know I am not alone.

So I started Weight Watchers...AGAIN! It has only been a couple days and it is amazing how many POINTS every little edible thing is!

The only thing I can think of is this...

and this....

Thank goodness I devoured all of my thin mints before I started this diet! Thank goodness even more they only sell them for a limited time each year!

and this....

Fortunately, the diet will allow for the sushi..the pocketbook...not so much! It's hard to find good and cheap sushi if you live in the middle of Michigan.

The ONLY good thing about the diet is this...for only ONE POINT!

I mean, come on...."Giant" "Chocolate" and "Fudge" in the name...how could it be bad? The down side...only 6 per box and they'll cost ya a pretty penny...but they are my sweet tooth's saving grace!

The Tot

We're off to Grandma and Grandpa Vs today. Grandma and I are going to a banquet and Grandpa is going to watch the Tot.

Just a couple pictures of the Tot in a rare (as of late) uncrabby mood.

Remember little Lauren and her "cherry and grape" fingers? I think my son has figured out his fingers taste good too.
I just love the shadows from the window in this one...and how innocent he is trying to look.

Have a nice weekend!
