Nichole + Jarod - The Slideshow!

I am behind and being behind drives me crazy, so while it isn't much fun to have a blog post without a picture, I hope Jarod and Nichole don't mind me just getting their slideshow up and going instead of delaying the post by finding and resizing a picture. I hope you guys enjoy the show!

Birth Announcements

I was trying to be patient and wait before posting these announcements so that the parents of these adorable children could get these out to their friends and families before I posted them. The last names were removed before I posted these so the formatting might be slightly off. I was so excited when I received my own copy in the email to see the final product in person.

It did make me a little sad that I didn't take the time to do these for my own son.

Wicked!

For my birthday, my fabulous husband got a babysitter (frankly that would have been gift enough) and took me out to a delicious dinner and then to see Wicked at the Wharton Center.

I absolutely loved it! It was such a fun storyline, moments of laughter and incredible singing, especially by Carmen Cusak who plays Elphaba! If you get a chance to see it while its on tour, I highly recommend it!

Debra + Zach - The Slideshow

There were a few pictures I just couldn't help including...they just show the shear joy and fun everyone had on your wedding day! Click here or on the title of the post to see the show!

p.s. Debra could you please tell your brother I can't stop thinking about the take-home box of food that he prepared for John and me...that we FORGOT to grab when we packed up our gear! I have had some wonderful dinners at weddings, but your brother's food was over the top!

Nichole + Jarod

No more looking at weather forecasts for me! Fortunately, for the second week in a row, the weather forecast was wrong. While it was warm yesterday for Nichole and Jarod's outdoor wedding, there were no severe thunderstorms or hail as predicted.

Nichole and Jarod had a wonderful ceremony and reception at Jarod's parents home in Chesaning. It was a pleaure to document their wedding day. I hope you guys enjoy your sneek peak!

My Birthday Wish!

Okay, so maybe calling it my birthday wish is a little dramatic ;-) It is my birthday month...why just settle for one day!

I got an email today notifying me that someone nominated me (JoNa Photography) as one of the top businesses in Detroit as part of the 2008 4 the Best contest.

Okay you non-commenting, blog lurkers...who did it? Seriously, I was shocked and would at least like to thank whoever nominated me. Please drop me an email and let me know if it was you.

Now on to my birthday wish....humor ME and please vote for me by clicking on the logo below. You do have to sign-in and verify your vote via email (so there is no cheating), so it does take a couple minutes. But I would be thrilled if I at least got a couple votes so I don't end up on the very bottom of the loads and loads of photographers listed. And if you tell your friends to vote as well...my happiness might last until August!

Debra + Zach

Wow! I don't even know where to begin. First of all, congratulations to Zach and Debra who were married this past holiday weekend in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I was, and still am, sincerely flattered that Debra and Zach took a gamble booking little ol' me from tiny Holt, Michigan to document their destination wedding in Wyoming. Even though we had never met, it is amazing what the internet and the telephone can do to help establish a relationship with someone. Even though we had never met, I felt like I knew Debra the minute I met her face to face on the day of her wedding.

When we flew into the Jackson airport, I looked out the window and saw Air Force One. Even having never been to Jackson before, I figured if the town was good enough for the Vice President of the USA, I would probably really like it as well.

Debra and Zach are from Idaho, but everything went so smoothly, you would have thought they were from Jackson Hole. They were surrounded by a wonderful group of family and friends who traveled from all over the country to witness their marriage.

A couple in love, fabulous details, beautiful blue skies, the Teton Mountains, and an incredible reception venue topped off and wonderful Fouth of July weekend celebration!

Thank you Zach and Debra, for allowing us to share your wedding day with you! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! (Don't worry, there ARE lots of pictures of the reception, I just don't have those cards downloaded yet.)

Debra and Zach opted to see each other before the ceremony for an emotional "first look".

This is the view when we got out of the limo to walk to the cermony site.

I don't know why exactly, but the picture below might be my favorite of the day.
