Such a treat to get to photograph these two cuties again after a long break from shooting. More sneak peeks on the JoNa Photography Facebook page.

East Lansing Maternity Photography
I was so excited when this former bride contacted me to tell me she and her husband were expecting a baby girl this spring and asked me if I would do a maternity session with them.
Despite 50 degree temps in January in Michigan yesterday, it was only a balmy 22 degrees in Lansing today so we did most of the session indoors with a few pictures at MSU, where the couple was married two years ago.
This picture makes me smile, because as you will see, this is one beautiful pregnant woman, who if you took a picture straight on, you wouldn't even know she was pregnant.

Mason Portrait Photography
This was a really fun session for me. I met up with Mary and John for a chilly engagement session last winter. I wasn't able to photograph their wedding this summer, but when Mary asked if I would do a session after the wedding of just her and her husband, I was thrilled and accepted!
I hope newlyweds enjoy their sneak peek!

Warm and fuzzy!
Photography isn't what I went to school for...in fact, you might be surprised if I told you what I did go to school for. (Don't you blog lurkers who know me suddenly pipe up and spill the beans either!)
So despite my numerous posts, putting my photographs out for the "world" to see, I am very critical and shy about my skills as a photographer. So it really means a lot to me when I get such nice feedback from clients. Both Rachel's and Julian's sent me such nice emails recently about the photographs of their children and I just wanted them to know how much I appreciate the feedback!
So as a small token of my appreciation, here are a few more of your gorgeous children!
Miss Rachel

Mr. Julian

Jen and Tony Part 2
I just wanted to share a few more pictures from Jen and Tony's session this past weekend. These made me smile as I processed the images tonight.
I just think the look on Jen's face says a lot about how she feels about Tony.
I usually try and avoid harsh shadows but I thought the pattern of the shadows looked kind of cool in this shot.
Okay, I take total responsibility (blame) for the looks on their faces, you should see the whole series of "photobooth-like" shots. I call this one "the sky is falling" look!

Jen and Tony
What a beautiful day (finally) we had in Michigan for Jen and Tony's engagement pictures. I can't wait for their outdoor wedding in a few weeks!

Anna and Gracie
It was a weekend filled with beautiful children! I also had a wonderful time meeting Anna and her sister Gracie, as well as their parents. So many fun shots to come but here's a sneak peek at the girls' session, one of each girl and the two of them together.
Big sister Anna
Little sister Gracie
Don't you wish siblings felt and acted like this all the time?
A few more of the girls...
Yes, I love crib pictures

Grace
I had the pleasure of meeting Grace this weekend, along with her mom and dad who are really good sports (you'll understand a little better after seeing some of the 1st birthday cake pictures...coming soon).
I haven't even begun sifting through all of the shots from the day, but I wanted to post 1 or 2 today just for fun for mom and dad to see. This was post-cake tubby time....isn't she a sweetie?
This pretty much sums up what I think Grace thought of me after an hour of pointing my camera at her.
A few more...pre-cake
